Till we are called to rise; We never know how high we are
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies—
The Heroism we recite
Would be a daily thing,
Did not ourselves the Cubits warp
For fear to be a King—
- We Never Know How High We Are(1176) by Emily Dickinson ; 1890
When I was at school, my teacher once explained what happens when
you put a frog in boiling water. I remember wondering why he was telling us
this, but now, from a behavioral perspective, I can see the point.
In the same way that you or I would leap out of a bath boiling
water, the frog will jump straight out of water, and she won't go near it
again, because she's learned how hot and uncomfortable it is. This is
understandable, but it does pose a question; how do you get a frog to stay in
boiling water, assuming you have a good reason for doing so? Well, you can put
frog in water that is comfortable temperature and then gradually heat it up.
The frog will get used to the rising temperature and stays there even when the
water is at boiling point. Unfortunately, the frog does not realize that how
much danger she is in because he is got so used to it and so, rather sadly, she
will dies - Sort Your Life Out
; Pete Cohen

I do not really love(hate) reptiles but I was amused by this story
because many people does not realize how much danger they are and it will
become worse, inch by inch and pound by pound if they are not taking first step
to change. So, where do we can go for the first step? Therefore, I would like
to share some tips that I got by reading Sort Your Life Out - A
21-Day Programme To Help You Create The Life You Want by Pete Cohen.
1- Accept the
facts that we have to change. It is doesn't matter how long we had been as
that who we are. It may not be as easy as abc but just put in our mind that, we
deserve to have better life everyday
2- Recognize
which that possible can be change. We
might not know what the exactly thing, how we want to change it but I believe
that, looking for something need to be change is part of recognize of the
process.
3- Be inspired to
change. Look for someone that
can help us to sort out our life back. S/he might not help you for the rest of
your life, but by having him/her to guide you is enough as the starting point.
4- Be playful. This explains that, in the process of
sorting yourself, take it easily, be happy because there will be some
difficulties moment for us but please keep our-self being able to smile.
5- Say Good Bye. Be willing and ready to leave to the
old, draining emotions, bad habits when we are really ready to take our-self on
some new behavior.
6- Be patient. This part will be complicated to
handle during the process especially when we will get things wrong and when the
thing we planned doesn’t work perfectly. Accept the truth that sometimes musketeers
will also lose their target but as long as they keep practicing, they will be
right on the target one day. So, it same goes with us.
May all the six steps that I reveal from my review on Pete Cohen book will help
us to prepare our self to be a better person from day to another day. To
conclude, i ending this post with Surah
Ar-Ra'd :11
" For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah. Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls). But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect."
I ask Allah, to benefit the reader from this post, and cause this
to be in my balance of my assets as the good deeds on the Day of Judgment. All
praise to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
That's all.
